LOCKDOWN ALARMS
We design, install and maintain lockdown alarm systems for schools, nurseries and other premises across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. If there's a threat on site, one press tells everyone to take cover, with no chance of it being mistaken for the fire alarm.
HOW IT WORKS
-
Raise the alert from anywhere. Press a wall button, or a portable fob carried by staff.
-
Everyone knows at once. Sounders and flashing beacons across the whole site go off together, including separate buildings and outdoor areas.
-
Unmistakable from the fire alarm. A different tone, light and spoken message, so staff know to lock down, not evacuate.
THE SYSTEMS WE FIT
We mainly fit Alertex wireless lockdown systems. Because they're wireless, there's no cabling through classrooms, so installation is quick with little disruption, and one system can cover a whole site. Outdoor units are weatherproof.
WHO IT'S FOR
Schools, nurseries and colleges, and any premises that need a lockdown procedure, such as offices, venues and places of worship. We recently fitted a lockdown system at a school in Surrey.
READY FOR MARTYN'S LAW
Martyn's Law (the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025) is expected to come into force in spring 2027. Premises where 200 or more people may be present, including schools and nurseries, will need procedures for evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communication. A lockdown alarm gives you a fast, reliable way to tell everyone on site to lock down.
TESTED AND MAINTAINED
We service and test lockdown systems as part of our maintenance contracts, so yours is ready if you ever need it.
